Created in the 1860s to serve local industries, now a gentle 2-mile walk

Enjoy this gentle stroll in the beautiful Dee Valley and Pontcysyllte World Heritage Site, along the old railway line and the canal in Trevor, near the amazing Pontcysyllte aqueduct.

Created in the 1860s to serve local industries, the line is now a gentle 2-mile walk. Starting at the top of Station Road (follow the fingerposts), this route is part of the Community Miles Route. Stout comfortable footwear and waterproofs are advised, as you take in this gentle route.
