Located on the A5 to the western end of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Canal World Heritage Site, Llantysilio is a small village with links that date back to the 13th century Abbey at Valle Crucis.
It is here that Telford tapped the River Dee for the water supply for the canal. Stunningly beautiful, Llantysilio is a perfect picnic spot, great for taking in the Horseshoe Falls. Llantysilio is also popular with walkers, passing through enjoying the Clwydian Range and the dramatic views of the Eglwysig rocks.
