Tŷ Mawr Country Park lies on the banks of the River Dee and as well as being part of the World Heritage Site, is also part of the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Picturesquely situated beneath the dramatic Cefn Viaduct, Tŷ Mawr provides some of the best scenery around.

The country park allows you take in the beauty of the area, with walks to suit all abilities. Take a gentle stroll down to the river, or along to the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, sit, relax and see if you can spot a salmon jumping!

As well as a country park, Ty Mawr is also a farm park with organic wildflower meadows and small animals to visit. These include rabbits, Guinea pigs and chickens, plus sheep, goats, pigs and even the odd Llama or two if you’re lucky! With a playground for the kids, and an endless supply of fresh air, it’s the perfect picnic spot during your visit to the area.
