Dyma dref hygyrch mewn car (ar yr A5\/ A483), ar dr\u00ean (mae ganddi ei gorsaf reilffordd ei hun) ac ar fws o Wrecsam neu Groesoswallt.<\/p>\n<p>Dechreuodd y Waun fel bwrdeistref ganoloesol gynlluniedig. Cyrhaeddodd y gamlas yn 1801 gan alluogi cludo glo i drefi yn Swydd Amwythig a Sir Drefaldwyn. Ychydig flynyddoedd yn ddiweddarach cafodd y ffordd drwy\u2019r Waun ei gwella dan oruchwyliaeth Thomas Telford a daeth y dref yn fan aros ar y ffordd bost rhwng Caergybi a Llundain.<\/p>\n<p>Heddiw, os crwydrwch chi drwy&#8217;r stryd fawr fechan fe ddowch chi ar draws nifer o siopau, bwytai, caffis a busnesau \u2013 a chroeso cynnes i\u2019w gael ymhob un. O\u2019r maes parcio yng nghanol y dref fe allwch chi gerdded i weld dyfrbont dd\u0175r a thraphont y Waun, sy\u2019n sefyll yn gymdeithasgar gyda\u2019i gilydd.
