Built around the 16th century and dedicated to St Tysilio who was the son of a Prince of Powys in the early 7th century. Inside the church there is a fine medieval oak roof and a rare medieval oak lectern. The graveyard has re-interred remains of some of the skeletons uncovered during excavations at Valle Crucis Abbey in the mid-19th century.

St Tysilio’s Church is a grade II listed medieval parish church and is situated in the beautiful Vale of Llangollen adjacent to the picturesque Horseshoe Falls. The present building was erected in 1180, but at various times has been much repaired and renovated. Portions of the original building may still be seen in the North Wall.
